Shumaker Homes just got started when a member of the team reached out to our agency. The company originally built a DIY website and — well, let’s just say they are very good home builders! Our agency developed the company branding, rewrote the website copy, and designed and built a website in less than two weeks.

Where we started.

When we first met with Shumaker Homes, we knew right away they were going to be a good partner for our agency. The company leaders knew exactly what they wanted and simply needed a marketing agency to help execute their vision.

Our team was also prescriptive in our assessment of Shumaker’s need for brand guides, as well as a functional website that had the ability to scale over time. While the immediate ask was a website build, we knew our efforts would have a lasting effect on this business.

Developing a Brand

In a week’s time, our agency was able to develop a strategy, deliver a new logo and branding guideline, develop new website copy, and begin work on the new website design. Simultaneously, we began working on the company’s local SEO and social media campaigns.  In the first week, Shumaker Homes started to see a lift in traffic.


After two short weeks, our agency was able to deliver a fully revamped, responsive website for Shumaker Homes. Not only did our client have new branding that met all of their required criteria, but they had a guide to use for any decisions that would need to be made moving forward. The website was launched with four pages; however, several were added over the course of the next few months.

After the initial website project, our agency engaged Shumaker on an ongoing basis, managing their search engine marketing and social media advertising campaigns.

Marketing for home builders is a marathon – it requires constant effort to keep the brand visible and to build engaged audiences for the long-term. As a business with up to an eight-month sales cycle, it is imperative to remain consistently visible on social media. That is exactly what our social media team did.

In the first six months with our agency, we achieved over 60,000 impressions on social media and contributed to the ever-increasing amount of homes Shumaker Homes is building in the Columbia – Midlands market.
